emerging fashion designers to showcase their talents and sell
their beautiful creations to the general public. At our
quality Melbourne outdoor market, you can be assured that your
purchases have been lovingly made and/or created by the
designers themselves – not mass produced. The Shirt and Skirt
Markets welcomes designers and artists in many creative fields
to join our collection of boutique studios and exhibit their
wares. Stalls vary from month to month. |

By Train
Hurstbridge or Epping Line:
Victoria Park on the Epping/Hurtsbridge line is the closest
railway station. Buses 200, 201, 205 and 207 run along Johnston
Street. The Capital City cycling and walking path passes the
site.

Catch the Garden City/Bulleen Bus 203 which leaves from the city
in Lonsdale St, and runs along Johnston St. Get off at Clarke
Street Bus Stop. (Make sure you are going in the Kew Junction
direction). Turn left from Clarke Street into St. Heliers and
follow the sign to The Collingwood Children’s Farm. The entrance
gates of the Convent are on the right before you reach the Farm.

The Shirt and Skirt Markets is held on the grounds of the
Abbotsford Convent. The Abbotsford Convent is an extraordinary
place and is fast becoming an important arts, educational and
cultural precinct in Melbourne.
Just 4 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD, its 11 historic
buildings, gardens and car park are spread over 6.8 hectares in
a sweeping bend in the Yarra River and are surrounded by the
Collingwood Children’s Farm and Yarra Bend Park. |
